How to edit and translate a wiki page into your own language

If you are translating a wiki page and don’t know how to edit it correctly, here there are some useful tips to get started:

1. Create account with Earn2Life.com Wiki.
2. Find the Wiki page in English that need to be translated (you may check the Article requests on the main wiki page or choose randomly).
3. Go to Edit tab.
4. Select and Copy the English edition.
5. Close the English page without any changes.
6. Paste the text in Notepad, Word or any other word processor.
7. Translate it with the same edition, stepping into the English text in order to maintain the format.
8. Find your language tab above the wiki article page.
9. Click on it, then on "Create" if there is not a previous translation, or "Edit" if there is a translation but you have made corrections or totally rewritten it.
10. Paste the whole translation made by you.
11. Save changes.

How to get paid

1. Copy your article address (the whole http:// ....... string).
2. Login to your E2L account and go to E2L Community tab (on the left of your main Earn2Life.com page).
3. Paste your contribution address there in order to be paid (you have to paste there the whole http:// address of your translation).

IMPORTANT NOTES

If your language tab doesn't exist on the list yest, contact the Help Desk. The staff will create a new one if necessary.

You have to maintain every sign you may find: {, [, =, because they are necessary (see Wiki editing help).

Translating links

Sometimes, you have to translate the link text. Usually it's located after the sign | and you may find it in the links and in images, for example:

[[Image:Web_offers.gif|center|frame|Web Offers list example]]

Sometimes you have to add the link text if you want to add a translation:

...to know more , refer to this article: [[Web Offer Payments]]. 

The translation for this should be Web Offer Payments| (here your translation). Add the sign | (alt gr +1) after original English link name (do not replace the original text in English, because it's a link itself).

Do not translate

You should not translate this:

EDITORS: This is a bottom of the page. Set the category for your page! Category: Web Offers - Languages

This text is invisible, so there is no need to translate it.

When you are done, always take a look at preview of the page in order to make corrections.
